The Youth Pastoral Team exists because of the desire of the Archdiocese of Glasgow to empower young people and channel their vitality and gifts through their parishes for the good of the Church and the world.
The Youth Pastoral Team exists because of the desire of the Archdiocese of Glasgow to empower young people and channel their vitality and gifts through their parishes for the good of the Church and the world.
- We foster and co-ordinate the formation and pastoral care of young people in dialogue with them and in partnership with all those who serve them.
- We accompany young people on all stages of their faith journey and challenge them to grow.
- We provide opportunities for young people to encounter God through prayer, service, and experience of community.
- We encourage young people to hear the voice of God in their lives, responding in love to His call and becoming who He created them to be.
- We strive to assist and enrich fruitful relations between parishes and schools in order that these aims can be met.
The Archdiocese of Glasgow is a designated religious charity, number SC018140.
Youth Officer: Rachel Romain
Rachel is originally from the Diocese of Brentwood. She studied philosophy and theology before a spell teaching RE and then working at a Diocesan youth retreat centre. From 2006 till 2008 she lived in Belgium and ate far too much chocolate!! Her interests include playing trumpet and guitar, but not at the same time.

Principal Youth Chaplain: Fr. David Wallace
Fr. David was ordained priest for the archdiocese of Glasgow on 27th June 1999. He was assistant priest at St. Patrick’s Dumbarton before moving to Christ the King Parish in Kingspark, and chaplain to Holyrood secondary school from 2000 until 2007. Fr. David was appointed as Principal Youth Chaplain for the Archdiocese in August 2006, residing at Holy Cross Parish, Crosshill and is part of the Youth Pastoral Team. He is now Parish Priest at St. Bartholomew's Parish, Castlemilk.
